Abelusi

Abelusi is the collective Zulu word for shepherd., usually young boys who learn the skills of shepherding from more experienced Abelusi.  It is a matter of honor to know each animal and to care for them with passion and dedication.  The Abelusi shepherd both Nguni (shorter horned cattle) and Ankole (longer horned cattle) and entertain dreams of using their superior skills on wild animals.  The Abelusi range displays the culture and nuances of this rich tradition in the pieces.
